Effects of Calcination Temperature on properties of Mg-Al mixed oxide nanoparticle./ Materials Today: Proceedings 2 ( 2015 ) 4328 – 43334328 – 4333http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/843The limited size and high density of surface sites that characterize nanoparticles result in unique chemical and physical properties. Magnesium aluminum mixed oxide was synthesized by co-precipitation method using Al2 (SO4)3.16H2O and MgSO4.7H2O precursors in 1:1 molar ratio. The calcination temperature was varied from 250, 300 and 700o C. Nanoparticles synthesized were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and TGA-DTA. At low temperature synthesized spherical particles are amorphous and they start to transform into spinel crystalline structure around 650o C. Generally particle size increased with increase in temperature.enAmorphous; Calcination; co-precipitation; magnesium; aluminum; mixed oxide; nanoparticlesEffects of Calcination Temperature on properties of Mg-Al mixed oxide nanoparticle.Working Paper
