Abstract

The paper presents the method that was used in determining the atmospheric stability classes for a place called Mazoe Citrus situated in Northern Zimbabwe for two consecutive years, 2011 and 2012. The stability classes are an important tool to be used in the environmental impact assessment for an area before a industrial power plant is set up. The study has shown that conditions favoring neutral stability are prevalent and that there is moderate to strong winds with slight insolation and a cloud cover of more than 50% for 60% of the time.
